With over 100 years of experience in the construction industry, Rider Hunt is one of the longest established and best known names in its field.

Rider Hunt has an enviable reputation for successful delivery of construction projects, and this is due to the quality of our people.

This is achieved by constant and effective training at all levels.

For graduates with an accredited degree we start with an RICS approved Structured Training Programme which provides excellent grounding for the RICS Quantity Surveying or Project Management qualification.  Similar training is provided for staff from non-surveying or engineering backgrounds.

We pay particular attention to the quality of experience for the Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) or Assessment of Technical Competence (ATC) programmes which lead to either Chartered (MRICS) or Technical (Tech RICS) status. Applicants are mentored by experienced staff and encouraged with presentation training and mock interviews.

The APC / ATC programmes usually last two years, encompassing the final year of an accredited degree and one year post graduation or, two years experience post graduation. The programmes are competency based with a final assessment undertaken by an RICS panel of suitably experienced surveyors.

Rider Hunt also invites applications from school leavers who are supported through a variety of day release courses to assist with their development whilst gaining invaluable on-the-job training. Training does not stop with the milestone of a professional qualification.  Training continues with a tailored training plan involving CPD (Continuous Professional Development), Life Long Learning and encouragement to secure further qualifications.

Each staff member has a personal mentor to advise them during their career at Rider Hunt.  The mentor continually reviews strengths and weaknesses, advises of further study and assists in building on existing skills.

Staff are involved in all stages of a wide variety of challenging projects enabling them to continually develop, both personally and professionally, within a committed team.

Each office has a healthy social events calendar and inter-office events are held giving staff the chance to socialise with colleagues from across the country encouraging teamwork and co-operation.

If you would like to become a key player with us and you are committed, highly motivated and want to know more, please contact us, either in writing or by email to the office location that suits you.
